REVERSE MORTGAGE: IS IT A WIN-WIN SITUATION ONLY FOR THE BORROWER?

   

  
One must be wondering then what use is such Reverse Mortgage scheme to the Lender when all the benefits are enjoyed by the Borrower only? 
The Answer lies in the fact that though borrower enjoys all privileges relating to staying in his own house alongwith side by side income, but he in fact relinquishes his right in such house property. The Game plan goes as if the Bank being the Lender takes the ownership of such house property from the borrower and will recover the Loan amount and the Interest thereon by selling such house property after the death of the borrower. However, on equitable justice terms before resorting to disposal of the property, an option will be provided to the Legal heirs of the deceased borrower to repay the loan and interest amount and take back the possession of such ancestral house property.
